The marshes and surrounding land that drain into Otter Point Creek sustain both natural and human communities and are impacted by human activities. Restoration and protection of habitat to support abundant life in the estuary environment are priorities of the Otter Point Creek Alliance.
How OPCA will address Habitat Conservation:
- Educate the public about habitat conservation and restoration, and support Naturalists in such educational activities.
- Provide volunteer opportunities for mapping, monitoring, reforestation, and habitat research. Provide opportunities and hands-on experience for students and adults in habitat research.
- Join in advocacy campaigns to support the estuary and watershed.
